These terms apply the moment you download or use Gloss Notes. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
01Licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Gloss Notes on your own devices. You may not copy or modify the app, extract or reverse-engineer its source code, or make a derivative of it. The app and its name remain the property of Marco Cebrián Muiño. Libraries inside the app keep their own licences.
02What the app is for
Gloss Notes is a notes app for the Mac. You can write, keep pictures and files with a note, capture a webpage, import notes from Apple Notes or from a folder of Markdown notes, set reminders, and optionally sync the library through iCloud or a WebDAV folder you choose. An Android app is not part of this licence. WebDAV is a way to keep the same library where another device can read it.
03Your notes
The notes are yours. They stay on your Mac unless you choose otherwise. If you turn on iCloud, the library is stored encrypted on Apple’s servers, under your Apple ID. If you turn on WebDAV, the library is stored on your own server, and Gloss Notes does not encrypt that copy. You pick one, or neither. You can turn sync off, and you can delete the copy. Marco Cebrián Muiño does not operate a notes server and cannot read your library.
04Export
You can export a note at any time as HTML, Markdown (.md) or PDF, to a place you choose. That file is yours. Keep a copy when a note matters. We cannot restore a library you deleted, a password on your WebDAV account, or a sync you turned off.
05No warranty
The app is provided as it is, especially while it is under development. It can lose a note, fail to capture a page, or fire a reminder late. Marco Cebrián Muiño accepts no liability for any loss from relying wholly on the app.
06Changes
The app, these terms, and whether the app is offered at all may change at any time. A price, if one is ever charged, will be stated before you pay. Changes to these terms apply when they are posted on this page.
