Gloss Notes is fully private. Your notes are yours. This policy says where they sit, and who can see them. We cannot.
01On your Mac
Notes, pictures, reminders and the place you stopped reading are stored on your Mac. NoxDrop never receives them. There is no sign-up, no analytics, and no advertising.
02iCloud
Sync is off until you turn it on. If you choose iCloud, the library is copied to Apple and stored encrypted on Apple’s servers, under your Apple ID. That copy is Apple’s to protect, and yours to delete. We do not hold it, and we cannot read it.
03Your own WebDAV
If you choose WebDAV instead, the library is copied to the server address you type in. That server is yours. Gloss Notes does not encrypt this copy. Whatever protection the server has is the protection you set up there. We never see that server, and we never see the notes on it.
04One choice, and you can undo it
You use iCloud or WebDAV, not both at once. You can leave sync off. You can turn it off later. Turning it off stops further copies. What is already on Apple’s servers, or on your WebDAV server, stays there until you delete it. You are the one who deletes it.
05Export
At any time you can export a note as HTML, Markdown (.md) or PDF. The file is written where you choose. It is yours. Export does not send the note to us.
06Share, capture and import
The Mac share sheet sends into Gloss Notes only what you share. Capturing a webpage fetches that address so the article can be saved as a note. Gloss Notes does not browse in the background. Importing from Apple Notes, or from a folder of Markdown notes, reads what you point it at on your Mac. The import itself does not upload anything.
