Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026 · Last updated 3 October 2026

AdGap is an ad blocker for Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad. This policy says, in plain words, what happens to your data. There is very little to say: we never receive it.

Nothing about you or the pages you visit is ever sent anywhere. AdGap has no account, no analytics and no ads of its own. We do not see your browsing, your settings, or the fact that you used the app.

01What we collect

Nothing. There is no sign-up and no user account. There is no server that receives the pages you visit, what was blocked on them, your device name, or a usage log.

02What stays on the device

The blocking happens inside Safari on the device in front of you. AdGap keeps there the rules it built, your settings (the languages you turned on, the sites where you paused it), the counts its button shows, and a small cache of what to hide on each site so pages load faster. None of it is uploaded. Removing the app removes it. We cannot read it.

03Access to web pages

To hide what is left of an ad, close empty spaces and hide walls, the AdGap extension needs Safari’s permission to work on the websites you visit. It uses that access only on your device, to change how the page is shown. It does not read your passwords, forms or messages for us, and it sends no page content anywhere.

04What is downloaded

The filter lists are downloaded to your device from their authors (AdGuard, HaGeZi, the EasyList authors and the authors of each regional list), and refreshed every day in the background. Sites change often. While in-video ads is on, AdGap checks for fixes every day. Nothing from your device is collected or sent. Nada. These are plain downloads: nothing about you or your browsing is sent with them. As with any download, the server that answers sees the internet address the request came from; we do not use it to identify you.

05Third parties & tracking

There are no advertising networks and no analytics or tracking tools in the app. Your usage is not profiled, shared or sold.

06Your control

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on request. You can pause AdGap on any site, turn its extensions off in Safari’s settings, or delete the app, and what it kept on the device goes with it.
